University Takes Space at Tech Park

Cranfield University Technology Park has completed a major letting to its neighbour and partner Cranfield University.

The University has completed lettings comprising up to 10,000 sq ft of office space at Conway House and Medway Court at the 111,124 sq ft Tech Park, which is located between Milton Keynes and Bedford.

The deal completes over 36,000 sq ft of office lettings in the last twelve months, taking occupancy to a record high of 95% across the Tech Park which is now home to over 60 businesses.

The businesses at the Park include oil and gas consultancy Caltec, innovative food freshness firm It’s Fresh! and a cluster of automotive businesses centered around the adjacent Nissan Technical Centre.

The 38,000 sq ft Cranfield Innovation Centre at the Tech Park provides flexible terms for growing businesses and has also seen occupancy soar to over 90% with a diverse spread of occupiers taking new space or expanding their existing operations, including audio technology firm Decibel Industries, the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP) and Vector Recruitment.

Val Kidd, Cranfield University Technology Park Manager said interest in the scheme reflected increased occupier demand in the regional market:

“The last twelve months has seen an increase in demand for offices around Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire, in line with improved economic confidence and businesses’ growth plans.

“Cranfield University Technology Park’s location and range of office accommodation has enabled us to capitalise on this growth, both through attracting new businesses and by providing space for existing firms to expand their operations.”

Cranfield University Technology Park is home to over 55 science, technology and knowledge based businesses, ranging from start-ups through to internationally renowned brands.
