Itas Joins Auto Cluster at Cranfield Offices

Cranfield University Technology Park has welcomed another automotive business to its Cranfield Innovation Centre (CIC), as it builds its reputation as a significant hub for the automotive sector.

New addition ITAS joins Nissan, Trafficmaster, Impetus Automotive and Tachi-S (a Japanese seat manufacturer) at the Tech Park between Milton Keynes and Bedford.

ITAS, which supplies training, software, reporting and auditing for vehicle bodyshops has moved into new offices at the CIC. The company provides a vital link between leading automotive brands – including Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Vauxhall Motors, Mazda Motors and Peugeot Citroen – and their body-repair networks to ensure safe, guaranteed repair practices which reinstate accident-damaged vehicles to factory standards.

Tony Young, Operations Director at ITAS, said: “ITAS is an innovative, fast-growing company with operations across Europe as well as the UK. The CIC’s excellent facilities and its location make it a perfect base for us and for our clients from overseas and closer to home.”

Val Kidd, Cranfield University Technology Park Manager added: “ITAS is the latest of a string of deals for us and we’re especially delighted to welcome yet another automotive firm to the Tech Park.

“Along with Impetus Automotive and Tachi-S, we’re seeing real growth in attracting innovative and dynamic automotive-related businesses, which is a key sector for the Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire region.”

Cranfield University Technology Park is home to over 60 science, technology and knowledge based businesses, ranging from start-ups through to internationally renowned brands.
