Free business seminars

9th January, 2012

In autumn 2011 Cranfield University Technology Park hosted its inaugural series of FREE business seminars.

Three seminars, covering a wide range of topics, were designed as informal and informative networking opportunities with experienced speakers giving you and insight into areas that could be of significant benefit to companies all over the region. The seminars proved extremely successful and will therefore be repeated in 2012. The first three will take place in the Spring; more information will be available here after Christmas.

The 2011 seminars covered:

- An introduction to the R&D tax credit scheme, with a presentation by Andy Miles, an expert on the scheme from MPA Accountants and Tax Advisors. Following the seminar, many businesses who attended the seminar have started the process of putting in a claim.

- An introduction to PR, with a presentation by M&N Communications, Cranfield University Technology Park’s very own PR consultants.

- The National Apprenticeship Service, with a presentation on the benefits of hiring an apprentice by Julia Brady, Employer Services Manager at the National Apprenticeship Service.
