Following the success of our 2011 business seminars, Cranfield University Technology Park, in partnership with Central Bedfordshire Council and Cranfield University, invites you to a new series of FREE business breakfast seminars for Spring 2012.
Three new topics will be presented by experts in their field over a networking breakfast designed to enhance your business in 2012. The seminars are designed as informal and informative networking opportunities with experienced speakers giving you an insight into areas that could be of significant benefit to you and your company.
The new topics are:
Business Planning for Success (Wednesday 29 February)
The single most important thing you could do in 2012! Planning is essential and often the very idea of a business plan or strategy, overwhelms a small business. Come along for a practical, interactive session on business planning and gain some useful hints and tips to help you create, monitor and measure the performance of your business.
Bring your business plan with you to get a fresh perspective from a business specialist or start the process of successful business planning by bringing a blank sheet of paper! What ever your current position … … now is the time to plan your next steps.

Funding for SMEs (Tuesday 17 April)
Where does manufacturing funding for the SME come from? How do you raise funding and how is your relationship with your bank? Come along for a presentation by a banker with manufacturing sector expertise together with his colleagues, including a specialist in international trade.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (Thursday 24 May)
KTP is a UK-wide programme to encourage business/university collaborations. Part funded by Government, it is designed to help companies access the skills and expertise available in higher education to increase innovation, competitiveness and profitability. Companies can receive a Government grant for up to two-thirds of a typical £65k p/a turnover KTP project.
Cranfield University is one of the UK’s most KTP engaged universities.
